Promoting and supporting Arlington's David M. Brown Planetarium as an accessible community resource for all people to learn, engage, and be inspired by the wonders of science and the universe.

    The Friends of Arlington's Planetarium Annual Membership Meeting is open to all current members. The organization's activities of the past year will be reviewed, there will be elections for the Board of Directors, a 2025 budget will be approved, and activities for the coming year will be discussed.
    ***Members may attend in person or remotely, via Zoom.***

    Humanity has long dreamed of traveling to the Moon. In Moon Shot: The Rocket Pioneers you get to see the history of rocket development - how space travel was transformed from the dreams of science fiction to real world science. Learn about the some of the pioneering individuals who worked hard to make rockets and spaceflight a reality.

    Duration: 27 minutes
    Recommended for general audiences

    After the show, there will be a short sky talk in the planetarium.

    Moonbase: The Next Step is the story of humanity's future exploration of the Moon. What is involved in creating a permanent base on the Moon, and how do we handle the many challenges of trying to live and work in such an isolated and hostile environment?
