Promoting and supporting Arlington's David M. Brown Planetarium as an accessible community resource for all people to learn, engage, and be inspired by the wonders of science and the universe.

    Ice Worlds is a tour of the icy landscapes of our solar system, especially our home planet Earth.
    In Ice Worlds audiences explore the critical relationship between ice and life – “a tale of friend and foe, enabling, challenging, supporting and adapting” – that has developed over millions of years. 

    Running Time: 28 minutes
    Recommended for: general audiences 

    The program will be followed by a short sky talk in the planetarium.

    Dynamic Earth explores the inner workings of Earth’s great life support system: the global climate. The show follows a trail of energy that flows from the Sun into the interlocking systems that shape our climate: the atmosphere, oceans, and the biosphere.
    Ride along on swirling ocean and wind currents, dive into the heart of a monster hurricane, come face-to-face with sharks and gigantic whales, and fly into roiling volcanoes.

    Duration: 24 minutes
    Recommended for general audiences - best for ages 9 and up

    The program will be followed by a short sky talk in the planetarium.
