With your help, The Friends of Arlington’s David M. Brown Planetarium have funded the David M Brown Memorial Scholarship since 2013. This scholarship is for an Arlington County high school senior who has a demonstrated interest in science, technology, engineering, and technology (STEM) fields. The scholarship is awarded to one student per year and is renewable for three additional years. Since awarding the first scholarship in 2013, the Friends has funded more than $56,000 in scholarships. Students used these scholarships to defray college costs at a wide variety of institutions, including William and Mary, University of Virginia, George Mason University, Virginia Tech, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, and University of Delaware.
