Promoting and supporting Arlington's David M. Brown Planetarium as an accessible community resource for all people to learn, engage, and be inspired by the wonders of science and the universe. 

This version of the calendar includes planetarium public events offered by both the Friends of the Planetarium (FOAP) and Arlington Public Schools (APS).
Tickets for most FOAP public events may be purchased online or at the door.
Tickets for FOAP programs are usually available online one to two weeks before the event at: 
https://events.ticketleap.com/events/friendsoftheplanetarium

Tickets for APS events can only be purchased at the door & payment must be by cash or check.

    Black Holes are some of the most mysterious and extreme objects in the known universe. Learn more about them in this visually spectacular planetarium program. With Liam Neeson narrating the journey, you will travel through the formation of the early universe, star birth and death, the collision of giant galaxies, and a simulated flight to a super-massive black hole lurking at the center of our own Milky Way Galaxy.

    Duration: 24 minutes
    Recommended for general audiences (best for ages 8 and up)
