FOAP Planetarium Show - Travelling with Light

  • 10/19/2025
  • 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM
  • Arlington's David M. Brown Planetarium

This program is offered by the Friends of Arlington's David M. Brown Planetarium.

Travelling with Light uses a conversation between a child and his mother to learn the importance of light in many areas of our lives.
The Sun generates the energy that provides the light and heat necessary for life. We study the Sun’s light and that of other stars and galaxies to learn about the origin, structure and evolution of the universe.
Stars are not the only way light is generated - fire and now artificial light also illuminate our daily lives and affect the relationship between humanity, life and light.

Running Time: 28 minutes
Recommended for: general audiences

The program will be followed by a short sky talk in the planetarium.
