In this talk aimed at beginning stargazers, Mike Rhee will go over the variety of objects that can be seen even from urban locations like Arlington. Combining science with practical tips, Mike will cover the best ways to see these objects using readily available equipment.

Mike Rhee works at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center as an aerospace engineer, and has helped to build numerous scientific satellites designed to study the mysteries of the universe.  An avid stargazer since childhood, Mike enjoys designing and building his own telescopes, and sharing his love of astronomy through public outreach events.
