This program is offered by the Friends of Arlington's David M. Brown Planetarium.
It's our special, free end of the year thank-you event exclusively for our members! Not currently a member? You can join the Friends online at https://friendsoftheplanetarium.org/join-us.
This members only event will feature a 7:00pm screening of the holiday favorite, Season of Light, as well as a short talk featuring the latest news on the Europa Clipper mission, presented by Dr. Jim Thorne.
Weather permitting, there will be telescope viewing outside the planetarium, thanks to our friends at the Northern VA Astronomy Club (NOVAC)!
There will be holiday music and some special "thank-you" treats for everyone as well, so we hope to see you at the planetarium!
Added bonus! We hope to also premiere another fulldome program that was just acquired. Aurora Storm is an 11 minute show about both the science and the cultural significance of auroras.
Attendance is free for FOAP members, but advance reservations are required to ensure you get a seat for the planetarium show. A second show may be added if the 7pm show fills completely.
Reservation information will be sent to members in early December.
