Because of the Friday weather forecast for snow, Arlington Public Schools (APS) made the decision to cancel all activities scheduled in Arlington schools or on school grounds for Saturday, February 17th, 2024. This includes the Arlington planetarium.

Unfortunately, this means The Friends of Arlington's Planetarium must cancel all Saturday, February 17th planetarium shows.

Those who purchased tickets online for the canceled Saturday shows will receive a full refund.

We are still planning to present the planetarium shows scheduled for Sunday afternoon. If you have any questions, you may email us at: contact@friendsoftheplanetarium.org.

We make every attempt to announce cancellations of planetarium events in advance. However, whenever there is a possibility of inclement weather, we also encourage you to check on the operational status of the Arlington Public Schools. If the schools announce closure of all the school buildings for any reason, we are not permitted to host events in the planetarium. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we hope you will be able to attend other events in the planetarium soon.
