FULL DOME SHOW “LOSING THE DARK” + “STARGAZING 101 WITH GEOFF CHESTER”

March 17, 2018, 7:30 p.m.

Learn about light pollution and some simple actions you can take to mitigate it by watching the fulldome show “Losing the Dark”.

After that, join us for a special presentation by Geoff Chester, Public Affairs Officer for the U.S. Naval Observatory, who will provide an introduction to observing the night sky.

After the presentation, we'll observe through telescopes outside, weather permitting.

Total Duration: 60 minutes; Target Audience: All Ages.

For more information, see March Friends Weekend: Stargazing 101

Doors open: 7 p.m. Show begins: 7:30 p.m.

Our capacity is 58 seats. We set aside 20 seats to accommodate those who arrive without a reservation, so if the show is sold out you can still try to attend by arriving close to 7 p.m. However, although we will do whatever we can to seat all comers, there is no guarantee of admission without a reservation.
