The Friends of the Arlington Planetarium held their 2014 annual meeting on Saturday, January 11. The Board of Directors was joined by about a dozen other Members.

The first major item of business was the election of William Readdy to the Board of Directors. Alex Gartner joined the Advisory Council as the new student member; Sylvia Monet and Samantha Spytek stepped down as student representatives, as they have enrolled in college.

Maria Dittrich presented a slideshow (1.7MB pdf) summarizing the highlights and events of 2013, including each of our Friends Weekends.

Treasurer Tom Wanat presented the 2013 financial report and facilitated a discussion of same.

The goals for 2014 were presented by At-Large-Member of the Board Theresa Schweser, and were briefly discussed.

A delicious lunch, provided by Board member Ralph Perrino and his wife, followed. There was a lottery for an eclectic, mostly astronomy-themed, collection of door prizes.

After lunch the Board met for its monthly meeting.
