Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Celebration

Come to the Planetarium on July 20, 2019, from noon to 3 pm, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.

All the events will be free. We will have a film festival, live music, Moon Oreos, Lego lunar spacecraft, and more surprises.

On July 20th, 1969, two human beings walked upon the moon—the first time that people touched another world. An audience of 650 million admired the achievement on television. This year marks the 50th anniversary of this momentous event, and the Friends of the Planetarium is excited to be a part of the worldwide commemoration. Our celebration on this day will serve as a special thank-you to our members, but all are welcome to join us for this free program.
