We are now recruiting new members for our Board of Directors and would love to hear from any of our members who would be interested. The Board has 15 members, each serving for 3 years. We're looking for people who love the Planetarium, enjoy working with a team to develop programs, communicate with the public, coordinate with local schools and other community organizations, and contribute to great STEM education in Arlington County.
Please consider standing for election to the Board at our upcoming Annual Meeting. Any current member is elegible for election. If you are not a member of the Friends, you are welcome to join any time.
There are 15 members serving on the board each year, each serving a three-year term.
Five members are elected each year, ideally. Elections are held at the Annual Meeting.
All board members volunteer their time. There is no financial compensation for board membership.
