STEM Initiative Works to Combine Sports with Science
June 5, 2013
'The [Sports, Math and Scientific Hypothesis (SMASH)] poster contest was supported by the Arlington Community Foundation, Friends of Arlington’s David M. Brown Planetarium, Arlington Lions Club, Think Fun and the Better Sports Club of Arlington. Brig Pari, a member of the planetarium’s advisory council and a vice president at Cresa, helped lead the initiative; she credits her son with coming up with the SMASH name [...] Winners also got cake, and they were treated to a screening at the planetarium of "Black Holes: The Other Side of Infinity".'
