Oct. 19, 2014, 1:30 p.m.
Dr. Harold A. Geller is Observatory Director and Term Associate Professor at George Mason University (GMU) in the School of Physics, Astronomy and Computational Sciences. He will join us to provide background and updates on the MAVEN mission, a NASA probe that arrived in Mars's orbit in mid-September 2014 after traveling 442 million miles in the course of 10 months to get there.
Target Audience: all ages
Running Time: 60 minutes (including ample Q&A)
Doors open: 1 p.m. Show begins: 1:30 p.m.
Our capacity is 58 seats. We set aside 20 seats to accommodate those who arrive without a reservation, so if the show is sold out you can still try to attend by arriving close to 1 p.m. However, although we will do whatever we can to seat all comers, there is no guarantee of admission without a reservation.
