Full Dome Show: Arlington Planetarium Premiere of “Astronaut”

The exploration of space is the greatest endeavor that humankind has ever undertaken. What does it take to be part of this incredible journey? What does it take to become an astronaut? This planetarium show takes you from Earth into space ... and beyond! Presented in high-definition full-dome digital video with explosive surround sound, "Astronaut" is an adventure unlike anything you've ever encountered. Experience a rocket launch from inside the body of an astronaut. Explore the amazing worlds of inner and outer space, from floating around the International Space Station to maneuvering through microscopic regions of the human body. Meet the animated test astronaut Chad and discover the perils that lurk in space from his viewpoint! "Astronaut" is narrated by Ewan McGregor and produced by the National Space Centre.

Target Audience: ages 5 and older and their families. Running Time: 23 minutes.

There are two Intermission shows between the two Sunday movies: Space Park 360 Trailer and Infinite Horizons.

Doors open: 1 p.m. Show begins: 1:30 p.m.

Our capacity is 58 seats. We set aside 20 seats to accommodate those who arrive without a reservation, so if the show is sold out you can still try to attend by arriving close to 1 p.m. However, although we will do whatever we can to seat all comers, there is no guarantee of admission without a reservation.
