Perfect Little Planet and Clockwork Skies (Double feature)

Jan. 17, 2016, 3 p.m.

Join us Sunday afternoon for a double feature!

Clockwork Skies

Clockwork Skies explores the patterns of motion and time in our skies. Participants of the Spring 2010 Blender Production Workshop were set a challenging task: develop their own skills by creating an immersive, full dome planetarium show under very strict time limits. The result is the entertaining yet informative show, "Clockwork Skies."

Target Audience: all ages.

Running Time: Full dome show, 5 minutes.

Perfect Little Planet

Perfect Little Planet.

Imagine the ultimate space vacation! Discover our solar system through a new set of eyes – a family from another star system seeking the perfect vacation spot. Fly over the surface of Pluto, our best known Dwarf Planet. Dive over the ice cliffs of Miranda. Sail through the rings of Saturn. Feel the lightning storms of Jupiter. And walk on the surface of Mars. Which destination would you choose? A solar system journey for space travelers of all ages.

Program duration: 30 min; Suitable for all ages.

For more information, see FRIENDS OF THE PLANETARIUM JANUARY WEEKEND, January 15-17, 2016: “ALL ABOUT TIME!”

Doors open: 2:30 p.m. Show begins: 3 p.m.

Our capacity is 58 seats. We set aside 20 seats to accommodate those who arrive without a reservation, so if the show is sold out you can still try to attend by arriving close to 2:30 p.m. However, although we will do whatever we can to seat all comers, there is no guarantee of admission without a reservation.
