Full Moon Night Walk

Event held on Feb. 16, 2022, 7:30 p.m. Eastern time

Join the Friends and WalkArlington for a night-time stroll celebrating the Snow Moon from 7:30 to 8:45 PM EST on Wednesday, February 16. We will enjoy the brilliant Moon lighting our way. Friends' President Jennifer Bartlett will explain how the moon waxes and wanes through its different phases. As she does so, Mary Dallao of WalkArlington will lead us on an out-and-back walk along the Washington & Old Dominion Trail. We will depart from and return to the ranger station in Bluemont Park. At the end of the walk, we will take a few minutes to enjoy the craters and other lunar features through binoculars. Jennifer and Mary welcome older children and adults for this winter walk.
