Stars and Galaxies

Event held on Oct. 28, 2022, 11 a.m. Eastern time

Stars and Galaxies for Arlington 55+.

Our Sun is but one star of billions in our Milky Way Galaxy; our galaxy is but one of billions of galaxies in our universe. However, the light from these distant objects reveals their structures and changes over time. Friends' president Jennifer Lynn Bartlett, professor at the US Naval Academy, will give a brief overview of what lies beyond our Solar System.

The talk is free but membership in the Arlington 55+ program is required. Because these talks usually have a waitlist, early registration is recommended.

The presentation will be at the Langston Center, 2121 N Culpeper St, Arlington, VA 22207.
