Event information for Halloween talk 2022.

Did you know that Halloween falls halfway between the fall equinox and the winter solstice? Astronomical observations such as the equinox and solstice have shaped our calendar, and with it the timing of annual festivals like Halloween. Come learn about calendars, astronomy and fun fall facts at the Lubber Run Community Center (300 N Park Dr, Arlington, VA 22203).

Join the Arlington 55+ program for a talk by Friends' President Jennifer Lynn Bartlett. Dr. Bartlett teaches physics and astronomy at the US Naval Academy and formerly developed software almanacs for the US Naval Observatory.
